And the next piece: The jacket! Again made from Burda 7880.

I made some modifications:
  1. I rounded the front to get rid of the fake vest effect a bit.
  2. I largened the sleeves to make them more puffy. I also added some tulle into the sleeve heads to make the puffyness stay!
  3. I also lengthened the sleeves to wrist length.
And I made some fancy trim by this tutorial. They are called praery points and look rather fancy. But it has to sewn by hand and ironed a lot. By hand. I hated every second of it! ^^

Well that is some fancy sewing! You must have the patience of a saint to finish these projects! LOL to the picture......I have to say that any time I force myself to sew, it is anything but fun!

WOW! That's pretty damned impressive. I've been following the whole outfit -- will you be posting photos of you wearing it? Sewing by hand ... *shudder*

So gorgeous! I remember having trouble with that pattern because of forgetting which long bits went where! I love Burda's modern fashion patterns!

@ Vulcan Butterfly: No, neither patience nor virtue are my primes! I went through a season of Weeds during making of this jacket! ^^

@ Lorkyn: Später! ;)

@ The Professor: I'm glad I'm not the only one who abhors hand sewing. Why would sewing machines have been invented if you should still sew by hand?! ^^ Yes, I will post some today...

@ Laura M: I've sewn this so often that the base went together like a dream. Just the decoration took forever.

WOW! That trim is amazing! I love the buttons, too. I bow to your hand sewing prowess and your patience! I would have lost it just sewing on the buttons.

@ Bane: I lost it while sewing on the buttons! I had to pause, call my boyfriend and rant for severaly minutes before I finsihed sewing them on. And I wouldn't be surprised if they fall off after ne wear. But they didn't. Yay!

@ Ms Misantropia: Thanks so much! I'm really glad you take the time to comment!

@ Neisel: Ich werd rooooooooot... ^^

@ Karolina: I posted some pcitures, I hope you like them as well!
