The whole leggings were constructed with my serger and went together in 30 minutes (including needle switching on both my sewing machine and my serger). The hems are sewn with a twin needle:
The waistband i made with wide elastic, but instead of sewing a tunnel and pulling the elastic through it, I -more or less- followed a tutorial by Lauren (Lladybird). This just sews the elastic to the upper hem and turns it over. This way, the elastic can never twist inside the tunnel!
And because the leggings are made from awesome, I simply had to wear them out. After chosing a party to attend, I dressed the leggings up and matched my make up. Please excuse the bad photo quality (and my tired face), the pictures were taken at 3 am AFTER the party!

Sewing pattern review
The pattern is as easy as pie and if your sewing machine is able to handle stretchy fabrics (which most do when you use a stretch needle and zig zag stitches), you can do this as well! As the fabric was only 1 Euro per meter I simply tried and the pattern was a success. For the next incarnation, I'd make the front a little lower, but that is just personal preference. The pieces went together easily and as I said, I was done in 30 minutes. Highly recommended!
