Visiting IKEA

This weekend, I decided I finally had enough of the blue rays my boyfriend bought. Not because I don't like blue rays, but because he didn't want to sort them into the DVDs he owns and rather stacked them in two lines in the shelf. Which makes it really hard to find anything and looks rather messy... So I decided we need yet another Billy shelf (we currently own 5) and hence we must visit Ikea. The funny thing is that my boyfriend actually likes visiting Ikea. I don't have to force him there, he even sometimes asks me out to a diner at Ikea and a stroll around the furniture there!

This time as well, we had a little food, but as we were late in the day, there was not much choice left. Although I can't feel punished for being late if there is still cake available! ^^ Since we knew what we wanted to buy, the shopping trip was rather short and not many unplanned items came with us:

I still don't know where to put the computer graphic stickers, but they were too cute to leave behind! There were also two cheap pillows and two energy saving light bulbs for our living room. After comning home, I set up my working station and set up the Billy shelf. Since I'm pretty experienced, the thing was done within 15 minutes. I should think about a professional carreer as an Ikea furniture specialist, right?! ^^

Now the shelf is in the space where it belongs and the blue rays finally have a good place to stay! Although it is almost full again... *blush*

Sieht gut aus! Ich glaube, der Rekord im Billy-Aufbau liegt irgendwo bei fünf Minuten...

I hope we will have Ikea here soon :) It's just a thing I need too.

@ Wollmaus: Wow... Großes oder kleines Billy?!

@ Audronasha The Countess: Well, they are good to have but you are always in the danger of buying too much or having a living room that looks like a furniture catalogue!

Ikea has food? Weird! We don't have an Ikea, obviously :)

@ Underground for Tea: Yes, Ikea has food, for example the famous "Köttbullar":

I have grown up with Ikea furniture and find it weird that the US only got Ikea some years ago...

My city is getting an IKEA next fall and I couldn't be more excited! I hear they have good meatballs...haha. I just want a few pieces from them, not everything for my whole apartment.

@ Geist.Katze: Ikea is always worth a visit, although I personally never tried the meatballs since I don't eat meat... I heard they are tasty!

I have got a LOT of stuff from IKEA as well! They have such good prices, you can't go wrong.

@ Vulcan_Butterfly: Yes you are right! And they even have some rather gothy stuff as well!
