WGT 2012 - What I wore saturday and sunday

For 11 years, the traditional Natron & Soda forum CT is gathering under a huge tree in Schiller park. This year, another forum was trying to occupy "our" tree, so initially I was quite astonished by the mass of Steampunkers. But after the first shock, we saw the hiding forum members and got into talking! Of course I see it as a pledge of honor to wear something self sewn for a meeting of my favourite sewing forum, so Saturday was Spider day!

We met a lot of lovely people, some I knew in advance like Charisma, Niniel Chan and her husband, Kelaino, Johanna, and Oyle; others I met for the first time in real life like Life_End, miny or Nyctophobia. We spent some hours chatting away which was really nice. I was a bit sad that neither Natron nor Soda happened to come, but they never announced that they were coming...
After the CT, we made short trip through the city center and bought some Leysieffer chocolate, which might be the best chocolate in the world. If you happen to get to a store, try the salted milk chocolate! A short stop at our hotel later, we headed to the Parkbühne to see Dreadfull Shadows. Not really my style of music, but the concert was good...
Next stop was the Agra area (can you believe this was the first trip to the main area at day three?! ^^) to see Combichrist. I danced a bit in the middle of some cybers and had a really nice chat again... Combichrist were as good as usual, always great live! When the concert was finished, we stayed a bit longer at the agra and enjoyed a bit of dancing at the agra disco.

Sunday we went to another forum CT, this time of the Versailler Nekrolog. There were minor annoyances about this CT as we met right in the inner city where we were instantly surrounded by photographers and some people didn't turn up (there was a misunderstanding about the meeting time). But the forum members were really nice - Kelaino, Neisella, Meara, Marquise DeNoire and Lorenia von Raschke. We hurried to Rizzi's again (we were already recognised there ^^) and ate in peace. I wore the raven outfit and had minor wardrobe troubles when my crinoline lost the steel boning.

We went to the hotel to get rid of the steel bone and hurried on to the Agra. We went for a short shopping trip and met Nachtkatze and Max (her company and model for her historic men's wear) to drink some cherry mead and check out other people's outfits! Even Sorrowsplea turned up for a little chat! After a second shopping trip (this time just me and Max who helped me haggling, I bought this beauties ) I met the others at the Diary of Dreams concert. Also a very good concert, a mix of older and newer stuff...
Last stop of the day was the "dunkelromantischer Tanz" (= dark romantic dance), a disco just playing dark romantic music. The location was wonderful, an old cellar with roman columns, a video show of cemetery angels and great prices for drinks.
